Admission Requirements:

- No GRE required
- No teaching certificate required
In order to be eligible to receive an MAEd in Building Principal – K-12 program degree from Avila University, you must have the following:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- GPA requirements for unconditional admission: 3.00 cumulative grade point average at the completion of the undergraduate degree
- GPA requirements for provisional admission: 2.75 cumulative grade point average at the completion of the undergraduate degree
- Students admitted provisionally must achieve a 3.0 GPA on the first nine (9) credits in their program of study
- Official transcripts from all institutions previously attended (Avila graduates do not need to obtain Avila transcripts.)

Program does not require an active teaching certificate at time of admission. However, certification within the state of Missouri requires both an active license and experience in the classroom. This program does not lead to teaching certification.

Courses

In order to complete your educational leadership online program, you will complete 11 courses for a total of 30 credit hours.
Students will take EDL 695 twice. There are 300 total field hours in the program.
